In this portrait taken from the series “Hope”, in which each protagonist was invited to close his or her eyes, we are ourselves invited to make a wish, or to hope, and also to look at others in a different way and particularly those whom we encounter every day yet to whom we often pay little attention. Here, the model is a concierge in an apartment building. It is precisely this change in the way we look at people and the attention paid to others that can give us hope for a different condition for all.
